Many popular events connect campus and community, such as fall’s Bulldog Bash, a gignatic street party in Starkville that draws
thousands to eat, socialize and listen to popular bands. In the spring, we have the Old Main Music Festival in downtown Starkville, a musical
partner to the Cotton District Arts Festival and Taste of Starkville.
Of course, there are many other things going on at MSU and the surrounding
community: plays, sports, art exhibitions, and concerts. And, if you just want to
get back to nature, the Noxubee Wildlife Refuge in rural Oktibbeha County offers
48,000 acres of beautiful lakes, trails and woodlands only minutes from campus.
The friendly community of Starkville is home to a multi-screen cinema with
stadium seating, a variety of restaurants, live music, performances, and annual festivals.
And, downtown Starkville and its shops and restaurants are within walking
distance of campus. To learn more about what the Starkville area has to offer,
